Install NotePad++

  1. Download the latest  NotePadd++ executable file here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/notepad-plus/files/ (Currently 5.6.8)
  2. Run the Installer, I usually use the defaults

Using Compare

  1. Open NotePad++
  2. Open Two Files
  3. Click Plugin > Compare
